Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Small insight to a Encrypted ECU being tuned



    Although im still on leave i had a Tiguan 103 model 2010 requiring a Flash. Nice job to keep the hands clean whilst on leave. Ok as most know lots of tunes are done from the OBD port. This particular ecu was one of the encrypted ones. As you can see i dont touch the ecu board or track with any solder or heat of any type for the win. Only problem here is the tune is there to stay, last couple ive done warranty wasnt an issue. Its not just VW and Audi this happens to ,some other brands we take care of this is the only way they can be done.

    Looks complicated mate... I think that is how Chiptorque had to tune my old excel with a turbo kit on it
