Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

has anyone here used any performance gear from techtonics tuning in the states?
im looking at buying their big valve kit to go into my 1800 head, ( its a 42 x 35mm kit), a 276 cam and cam gear.

Yep, I've got two of their cams along with the matching springs.

I've got the hydo 276 and solid 306 cams. The 276 is quite streetable.

Their exhaust hangers with the chain inside are bullet proof too.

I got the TT valves, springs, lifter etc on my head.. running them for a few weeks now and have been really good.

Didn't go quite as big as Pete with the cam, settled for an Autotech 270 cam with TT adjustable cam gear and an Autotech 4-2-1 exhaust manifold.

Just be aware of your fuel delivery. I am in the process of chipping my ECU to account for the extra air flow. I know TT sells a chip designed for bigger valves, cam etc which includes uprated knock sensor also.
