Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Milltek 2.75" vs 3.00 Large Bore DP??? Difference??
    Evening All!

So lets say out in a totally hypothetical situation , there was a Milltek Mk5 GTI DP available to purchase for around the $500-$600 mark second hand, but say it was the older model 2.75" diameter one prior to the Edition 30/Pirelli release when they modified the DP diameter to 3.00" diameter. My questions to our Veedubbing community....

    Background info re. the DP's.
    Old Milltek DP 2.75" - Part # MSAU287 and MSAU288
Old Cat Possibly 200 Cell and New Cat 100 Cell.

    1. Major difference in power from 2.75" to 3.00"???
    2. Will the Cat be a big difference from 100 to 200 Cell?
    3. Will the 2.75" affect future upgrades? Ie. Like K04 conversion?

So gents and ladies.. lets hear that wisdom pour on!!! I need all of the informed help i can get on this one.
