Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Reputable VAG engine building shops?

    Anyone know of such?

Specifically some experience with 058 blocks, 1.8Ts
Stroking(proper clearance), boring them properly (ie torque plate etc).

Im not sure where you are located but Seb or Lucas would be the people to contact.

Sebs business is Euro Revolution (Sydney)

    Lucus is Eurospeed (Melbourne)

Lucas would definately be the person to talk to regarding engine building!!

He is currently building a few audi motors right now (one of them is his new motor ) and one is a twin turbo rs6 v8 too!

I would have to agree. His the only one I've been able to confirm use a torque plate for the 4cyls.
And if his got experience already with the lameduck 058 block, sounds good.
