Our Stage 2 tune will be priced the same; accurate kw/nm has not been released yet but expect in the range of 115kW/250Nm. More testing will be required before this tune becomes available; it should be ready by around July/August.
For those who go for a Stage 1 tune now on the 77TSI, an upgrade to the Stage 2 tune will be offered at just AUD$150. Only cars with sufficient intercooler and exhaust upgrades will be permitted to upgrade to this Stage 2 tune.VWWC Members - 2018 Special - ECU & DSG Remaps

We will have a dealer in the NSW by later this year; it is in the works, if you're willing to wait.
Otherwise, for the time being, we still use a simple loan equipment system whereby we send you everything you need to upgrade the car. It's a very simple plug and play style upgrade which comes with instructions, but more than happy to guide you over the phone if need be.VWWC Members - 2018 Special - ECU & DSG Remaps

Hi Gusman,
Presently we do not offer exhaust/intercooler upgrades; unfortunately due to the general lack of aftermarket hardware upgrades for the 77TSI, we also have not yet released our Stage 2 program.
Further testing in the UK has shown that 115kW is actually going to be a difficult target to achieve because of the limited size of the turbo, and due to the exhaust not being a big restriction even in factory form and thus limited potential from exhaust upgrades alone.
We will revise the specification to 110kW for our Stage 2 77TSI tune; this will be verified once aftermarket intercooler solutions are available for us to do run-after-run tests/logs to ensure everything runs as desired.VWWC Members - 2018 Special - ECU & DSG Remaps

No worries John, peak power isn't the be all and end all for me anyway, it's more about the extra torque. I'll check progress in two or three months when I've got cash to splash, if still no stage 2 I'll happily settle for a stage 1 tune given the $150 upgrade offer.

Hey John,
Really hoping to get the 77TSI tune on my Golf. Just curious to know whether there are any differences between the golf and the polo regarding the tune (slight differences in the stock ECU etc.).
Also, have you done many tunes on the 1.2L engine, I've been looking since september last year and still you appear to be the only person offering a tune for the 1.2L engine, it this because of the difficulty involved in creating an upgrade for this specific engine or because most people have only found minimal gains?
Thanks,
James.

Hi James,
From an engine point of view, the Golf and Polo are the same.
I have done over a dozen of these now, all with great results; however in the last 6 months I have started encountering many late 2011 delivered/2012 models coming with an encrypted version of the Siemens SIMOS v10 ECU.
I would suspect that not many other local tuners offer a tune on this engine because they do not have the necessary tools for compatibility for non-Bosch ECUs; we focused alot of our effort on tuning this platform, and the improvements are very noticeable just as you would expect for any conservatively tuned turbo car.
Anyway, happy to do a check for you to confirm whether or not your car has an encrypted and thus currently non-upgradedable ECU, cheers.

Thanks John,
Mine was purchases last June (pretty standard), so hopefully it won't be an issue. I'll be in touch to ascertain wether my ECU is able to be upgraded once I've got my car serviced as it's almost due for the 1 year check up.
Thanks,
James.

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

Sorry for the late response; VCDS won't tell me enough unfortunately.
There have been at least 6-7 different ECU's for locally delivered 77TSI's and it is starting to get quite complicated. The best way however is to use our OBD tool to do a data read which will tell us whether or not we can go ahead.VWWC Members - 2018 Special - ECU & DSG Remaps
