Do you need a current Polo owner to check the ECU in their vehicle, or are you checking some other way? If you need someone to check, let me know how to do it and I'll give it a shot... Very interested in the APR tune when it finally (or if it ever) becomes available...

Hi Casper, If you are near East Brisbane, please pop in so we can check, will only take a couple of minutes.

      Cheers

No problems - not sure when I'll make it over there but will try to do so within the next week... Are you open weekends?

We have to confirm what is fitted before we can progress to step #2......
My 2010 polo looks like it comes with the Siemos ECU, least that's the version that's showing through VCDS (Component: SIMOS10.20H02 689 unless I am reading something wrong which is entirely possible.

Had a Polo in today - (2 actually) Brisbane & Sydney & they had SIMOS. All of the info has been sent to APR HQ & we will implement an action plan of development. Similar ECU's are used in Greece on the Seat's over there.

Will APR also be developing a flash for the new Polo GTi (1.4L twincharger)?

The 1.4tsi should be much easier, it's an extension on what we have already worked on with the Golf family 1.4 twincharger. Working on this next month when we get a Polo GTI

To the best of my knowledge, no one is doing a "flash" yet for the 77tsi with SIMOS ecu.

                      Hi Guy,

I am just wondering if you will still need my car in November?

                      Thanks

Hey Allegience, Not at this stage thanks mate - There is a Polo ECU going to APR for development (cracking) - that's the first step. Will contact you when we get to step #2 - unfortunately there is no telling how long that will take.

Thanks again for your kind offer & I'll make sure we look after you when we get it sorted

It's a fair bit of work involved and you'd be silly to make any power claims without extensive tests. The reality is its a 1.2 L engine that most people would buy for its fuel economy and not performance. The return on investment would be very very low.
