Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi tdiKD,
Just google it. Most TDI 2L will be able to recite 103KW/140PS & 320nm anyway! :p
FYI, the figure will be at the end of most road tests you find via a websearch. Basically as follows, for the Pumpe Diesel (PD) 2.0 TDI:
DIN-rated motive power & torque outputs, ID codes
103 kilowatts (140 PS; 138 bhp)
320nm torque.
Wikipedia link
2.0 R4 16v TDI PD 103-125kW
This Pumpe Düse (PD) TDI engine was introduced to replace the older higher-powered versions of the 1.9 TDI. It is the first four-cylinder 16-valve double overhead camshaft (DOHC) Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) engine made by Volkswagen Group.
identification
parts code prefix: 038
engine configuration & engine displacement
inline four cylinder (R4/I4) Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) turbodiesel; 1,968 cubic centimetres (120.1 cu in); bore x stroke: 81.0 by 95.5 millimetres (3.19 in × 3.76 in), stroke ratio: 0.85:1 - undersquare/long-stroke, 492.1 cc per cylinder; compression ratio: 18.5:1
Everyone has an opinion and it's probably a case of finding out which best suits your needs.
If your car is under warranty or extended warranty (like mine is), then it's probably worth reading about peoples' experience with warranty hassles at their dealer, if the tune is detected, as it would likely be (if not resettable).Last edited by Bizi; 22-09-2010, 07:01 PM.Bizi's Jetta TDI: Blue Graphite w. factory leather & tint, plus + Enkei Racing NT03+M + Yokohama S Drive 18s, Koni FSD, Neuspeed coils, GTI RSB + brakes, InPro mirrors, VW navi, Modshack. I'd always go for a flash over the interceptor as you are limited as to what you can modify. You can't usually modify boost for example nor can you modify the smoke limiting or torque limiting tables within. I guess it depends on what your budget is and yes the interceptors do have their place and do give a good gain but if the dollar figure is similar to say a superchips/bluefin option I know what I'd choose. well actually I'd chose us but your in Vic so........
