    someone pm'd me and i cant remember who, bit late with the pix and took it with the phone sorry about that! (was to lazy to grab camera)

    but basically aem intake on mk4 gti. can see where it sits etc, and notice its a dry filter not a k&n (not good for mafs apparently).

    This doesn't look like your car, but do you know if there was anything in the way other than the standard airbox?

      its the gfs black gti.. had to take the bar off as one of the horns was playing up and replaced it.

      took me about 20 mins to install without taking the bar off, i guess another 15-30 taking the bar off as well.

        Getting good air from that I bet - would you be worried about getting it wet?
        Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
        Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

          was, but asked a lot of the US guys whats the deal with there setup and they all said its a ok during the wet seasons.. and it has been through some severe rain and has been all good, and i mean severe rain! lol

          you can also get a bypass valve for it too apparently now

            Here's a link to the AEM Bypass Valve and a little info on it! can be used with other intakes also, just check the size!
