    Hey guys,

I am wondering of someone can help me with recommending a clutch disk. My Mk3 diesel is slipping its new (less than 2000km old) standard 210mm 1.9TD (not TDI) 020 clutch.

Basically, I am after an upgrade 210mm clutch disk only.

I want a sprung hub (for daily driving) and needs to be sized for small input shaft size (not 16V box).

If anyone can put me onto a supplier in australia that can sell me something that would be great. All my current parts suppliers only want to sell me standard bits.

I see no reason that my stock flywheel and pressure plate should not be good enough, the standard diesel pressure plate is about hte biggest 210mm 020 one anyway. I know you can get "race" clutches from Techtonics tuning but they do not have sprung hubs.

    Cheers

I just put one of their stage 3 discs into my MK1.

6 Puck, sprung centre, 210mm, small shaft etc.

I got mine from Bildon (eventually). http://www.bildon.com/

There's probably someone locally that could reline one for you, one of the racers might know.

      Thanks a lot Pete, marvy.

Praytell, why would I need it to be relined? (or do you mean, once I wear it out?)

What I meant was that maybe someone locally could reline a stock disc with something stickier. I think there's a chap in Perth with a good reputation for building clutches but the name escapes me. I'll ask a friend on Sunday at SEDF who'll know.

            ahh i see.

i think i've got permission to spend on the spec item, but i'd certianly be interested to know about relining since it think it would be a good candidate, rather than the standard unit.
