  • The uber DIGIFANT thread (from generationdub.com)

I wanted to share this link I stumbled across regarding Digifant. It's a great resource.

    Happy reading!

Theres some great info in there Mik!

    Thanks for sharing.

I've never really had much to do with Digifant except for my mums mk2, but its all pretty straight forward & ultra reliable too. Only if you leave it all along & don't mess with it.

But I've had a fair bit of stuff to do with L-Jetronic when working for BMW. Never really though of the two as the same, even though I did notice they all nearly share the same components

    Everyday is a school day!

There is always more to learn, and if you disagree with that statement you can't be taught I have found.

I have just ordered a 16V Corrado ECU to replace the 8V one that is on the car with 16V gear on it - so I'm hoping to have better performance from that with a higher rev limiter!

I kind of like the 5 series intake mod, well I might consider it down the track May get it on a dyno first to work out how things are as they stand.

Without taking this off topic too far, it is a 1.8 KR with 16V - 8V digifant ECU (easiest description is that it is Matt's former green MK1 with MKII GTI 16V conversion). The 16V Digifant II ECU is what I just bought.

DIGI dudes - so I have taken the coolant temp sensor out today and it is Blue and has 4 pins. All the talk on the web with MK2 looms is that it is a 2 pin sensor.

I have a black sensor with 4 pins, I am wondering if that will be any use or do I need to buy another blue 4 pin one (but it seems these are for MK3/VR6, not MK2)...

              Any suggestions?

Here is another thread on tuning Digi2.
