  • Will Disconnecting battery reset the ecu

The reason i'm asking is because i've had my car REVO tuned and i'm planning on getting a sub and amp installed. Will disconnecting the battery mean i'll lose the REVO settings?

Sorry if this has been already covered...i can't find it anywhere.

You'll be OK disconnecting the battery. Earth lead first.

Negative earth on these cars btw.

To expand on Gavin's comment - the REVO tune is stored in what is called non-volatile memory in the ECU - non-volatile means the contents aren't lost if you take power away from the system.
      Nothing to see here...

Sometimes, depends on the code! Can sometimes sort out some minor issues aswell with a battery reset! -VW-
