              Thanks....

No progress at the moment due to the fact my place is a building site and the MkII is lucky to have somewhere to live let alone be worked on

I had one sheet left at the end from a bulk pack, i havent had the car out on the open road but its a hell of a lot quieter even just at idle, the car does feel a lot more solid as well, most of the vibrations you feel through the floor as thats where your attached to so I would say there is a big improvement there! I would do it again on another car for sure.

Make sure you get some aluminium tape as you get small areas on the edge that arent covered by the foil backing or your carpet will stick to them, along with everything else!

Awsome, sounds like it worth the money. Where can i get aluminium tape from? The only one i saw was a kindo heat wrap aplication and cost about 40$ a bloody roll and there wasnt much on it.

I was hoping to do my boot twise over if there was enough left over, i guess not.

Let us know how it goes on the road.

Bunnings sells aluminum tape, i thinks its about $15 or something. Its with the trade stuff (roofing etc) rather than the "tape section".

only downside is the weight of it but not that bigger deal on the grand scheme....

Anarchycamp, if you can make your car look remotely like this....you will be my hero.

That thing will be the baddest beast out there!
