  • 02a in mk2/1 which clutch cable to use?

hey guys, just wondering what cable you use?

I know some peps use the auto adjusting Ibizia and others use the mk2 1.3cl cable any thoughts?

    cheers

I use the auto adjusting cable in mine off the ibiza gti, they are a bit pricey but works a treat! I got mine off Loon.

    So the 020 didn't handle your 180+kw atw"s?

      hey mate,

Oh it did it is not broken, infact its in mint nick. The clutch is now slipping at 18 PSI so I thought that rather than using an 020 clutch I would upgrade the whole box and take advantage of a hardcore clutch and 18mm more of surface area. I am getting a 6 puck botton with sprung centre. so that I can smash it all day every day. PS i didnt machine my last flywheel. heheh cardinal sin.

mate the big bracket provides tension to the cable and bolts onto the 02a gear box mount. the other bracket just holds the cable out of the way of what ever was in the way in the seat.

mk1? i still think you need the bracket as it provides the tension otherwise the cable may not work, ill have to get back to you on that as mine isnt in yet.
