How are you using that battery to start the car. The same ones we sell at work don't have a CCA rating and don't like to be pushed. Let me know how it handles it, if it works well it means i can run a second battery without an isolator.

It's a gel cell and has been working well for at least six months now,( and that's with hardly any driving and periods of no start up at all) re cca it's similar or higher than a standard battery from memory.

No, only because I hadn't met you yet, and I needed some grinding done to route the cables.

Stop taking easy wins on the A3 and get back the 16v.

More on the battery front the solenoid earthed out(doh) and completely flattened it, a day on charge and it's back to holding charge. Can't see a normal battery coming back from that.

Whilst I completely agree that all cars should have a Fire Extinguisher, wouldn't it be wiser to install it in the cabin closer to the driver/occupants?

And I assume you plan to design a cover to save knocking it about with cargo?

I got mine mounted on my rear seat delete just in between the 2 seats, just incase I need it ricky tick! Even though I think they look like doo doo but its better to have it and not need it.
