sound good mark looking forward to being able to really give it some without having to worry about melting things.

        • Stats are in

          Fatso dual mass 9.98kg
          Lightened single mass 6.2kg
          Alloy masterpiece 3.6kg

Makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing in saving the alloy flywheel for n/a power.

            • One thing to remember, Alex.. Is less flywheel mass= less weight= less load which can sometimes equal less boost in 1st gear.. Making the car sluggish off the mark. I've seen it happen.

                    • so going in a little better prepared(downpipe removed and stable mount on the jack for the gearbox)everything seems to be going well, no stratches even, till i tried to mate the splined shaft and the clutch. easy you say i thought so to, but very challenging, ended up using the long alternator bolts in the top two holes in the box and lined it up like that. tried for a good hour or 2 and nothing , i dont know if it was luck or weight transfer but i jacked up the differential area and wholla it slid in.

redid all the banjo washers on the turbo and torqued them so should be good.

then had a look at finishing the new inlet.

                      1

                      2

                      3

                      look maaa no scratches

                      v band

maf housing and a nice reducer
