I'm not sure if you have seen some of the other vendors tunes for these older ECU's but some of them are really coarse, some for example will only modify one timing map leaving the others stock. You leave the failsafe map alone but if the others have big differences in the same rpm/load point then when a map switch occurs you will really notice it. The other thing is they may only modify the cells where they think the tune will be working, that is they don't bother with sorting out the low load high RPM or high load low rpm for example so you see big differences in the adjacent cell values. Once you smooth all these out its very nice.
Maybe CC has these all sorted

    • have remounted the catch can, in front of the inlet manifold, freeing up room for the DG short shifter on route, re ran the rhs loom half in the wing and the rest down beside the booster, and tucked the fuel lines too. and some other tricks here and there.matted the lower and upper grill and detailed a little represent for custom code

and have but on a 4 bar fpr, although the software is written for 3 bar and with a k03 its not needed but it seems to be more responsive under early boost and seems to help in the 3 to 4 thou range

unfortunately i hit a piece of what i think was plasterboard or ply on the entry to southern cross drive tonight, it was flicked up from the car in front or made a super loud clout, both on the front and a few times under the car. on inspection it became evident why the loud bang, it chopped the lower grill insert in 2 and hammer the cooler inlet and left a heap of deep gouges across the rhs of the bumper , what a mega Biiiiiiatch.i have some mesh left over and the pipes are fine but the bumpers ucked, looks like it time to smooth the plate recess

      • 10's were prooving very hard to find so took the plunge on another 2 9's(which are brand new), although these have 3 1/2 " lips so will work out great anyway.

put on my diesel geek shifter yesterday, gotta say very very impressed , ties in so well with the motor mounts and overall tightness of the car, really loving driving this car

looking into a stage 2 clutch as slippage is getting fairly decent

turns out the thing i hit was a piece of sheet metal like the back panel of a washing machine or something, on closer inspection it cut the silicone coupler(just on the outside of the clamp, bounced off the clamp) and put a fairly large ding in the inlet pipe.

        pics to come

                            • spent most of the weekend doing the passengers side loom and so on, rerouting and tucking.
would like to do a battery relocate (to the boot)but with the girls in the car i just dont want to risk any safety issues

spotted out of the corner of my eye the gel cell battery for the mk1, sorry baby i promise i will buy you a new and better one(me talking to the mk1)

mounts in place of the huge plastic platform

a couple of legs to hide the earth lead and so on

                              n battery fitted
