Also what Audi brakes are good? I am wrecking an Audi 100 this week 1991 Model. Any good bits on it?

I run 270mm Black Diamond disks with standard GTI calipers.
They came from TSR, who unfortunately have since disappeared),
They are special though
as the 'top hat' has a much deeper offset to allow for the adaptor plates moving the calipers further inboard.
The benefit is that wheel clearance is easier - they will fit under 14 inch wheels.
You may be able to get them direct from Black Diamond, but the tricky bit would be the adaptor plates though - they came from TSR.
Otherwise , I'd investigate an oem 280mm setup along the lines of some other posts here (15 inch wheels required).
I believe that 305mm brakes are available from a Ibezer Cupra R, if you want more serious stopping power, but don't know the pitfalls to watch out for.
Of course there are a number of upgrade kits available OS, if you have the dough...
MkII rear disk conversion next, followed by a MkII servo/MC upgrade.

Depends what year?, 16v Cupra's had 280mm 4 stud discs, the 20vt powered Cupra's had 305mm 4 stud discs, with the 305mm you have to use the brembo calipers as the discs are
28mm thick, VW calipers wont fit over these.

Caliper left 357 615 123B 88-97 Passat
Caliper left 443 615 123FX Most Audis from early 80s to late 90s.
There are 2 different types of caliper which changed from 90-91.
I made a mistake with the disc as I did not realise that the V6 Passat was introduced in '88 which of course had 5 stud wheels. So the Passats that had the 280x22 disc (4 stud) were G60s anyway.
So for a cheap conversion you can have a look around for an old Audi 80/100 locally for the calipers and by new discs (or get them made). Or you could redrill some VR6 discs.
Was talking to a friend in the UK last night who was suggesting that early Vectra (& Astra of the same era) front calipers will fit Mk I's (& from my interest Scirocco's).
Apparently you need the Vectra carrier, caliper, hose and pads and use the corresponding VW disc. I think most early Vectra's out here came with 256mm and 288mm (V6) discs?
Only fiddly bit is the bolts which need a little engineering.
Anyone come across this one, tried it, got any feedback?
One imagines that there are an increasing number of early Vectra's plagued with expensive computer and sensor issues starting to hit the wreckers yards and could represent a cost effective upgrade.

No they didn't
The Mk3 Cupra R (180BHP) came with 305mm Brembo 4-spot brakes, the other 20vT Cupra (156BHP) models use exactly the same Lucas 280mm setup as the Mk2 Cupra 16v.
The 280mm discs are easily available for under $100 locally!!!
