Seeing as there is not much going on here & not many others are posting up, I've got some more here some of you maybe interested in.

    I know I am!

A RWD mk1 with a 1.9L 8v twin turbo setup. Don't know why its twin turbo, as a single would be heaps better, but still awesome build!

Full build up can be viewed here, but you need to sign in.

Not exactly my style, but still something I'd love to do one day.

But I'd fit a real engine with the right amount of cyl's. (No less than 8!)

A few more to wet your whistle.

Most of these are in progress from OS & are being built to attack the 1320ft black top

            Very cool stuff I reckon

How about a RWD Jetta. Soon to be a 2L 16V. This bloke also has one of the fastest Corrado PRW 2.0 16V Turbo running 7.45@171mph

Thought I'd add this to stir up the pot.

Street Evo running 8's! Yes 8's!

Wonder if you'll ever see a AWD VW ever do that? Mmmmmm. Computer say's No! haha

Now I'm not 100% sure this is the same car, but was in the same thread where I found it

One very cool Mk2 5dr sleeper & I mean "sleeper"

              How about a 10.26 @ 142mph

At the start I thought it was Ben Leach's mk1 Syncro, except his is 20vt but....

Your joking me aren't you Velly!

This car was my inspiration way back when!

Mark Elliots old stealthy Mk1 16V on twin webers, turbo & nitrous!

I've still got all the old "The Golf" mag's with his car, Maurice Reeves twin carb'd mk2 track car & a few other's!

I can remember sitting & reading these articles about this car & thinking & planning!

                      Legend Velly.

                      Thanks for the time warp!

ben leachs mk1 is wicked, one of my favs.

Marks mk1 is great, nice to see something 'home grown' and not a 'cheque book cars' which currently the UK is full of.

I can remember years ago of mark planning on building a 16v twin turbo to compete with Maurice Reeves cars.

You should know me Tim ,i live in a time warp

its just a jump to the left.....

The Puerto Rican's love their sport compact scene & this is just one extreme example!

Check out the Carbon Fibre work on this.

Oh & the turbo is you didn't notice it!

From what I can gather, the plan is to run very low 7's. Like 7.1's! All from a 16V VW engine too!. Very impressive to sat the least.

I can guarantee that we "WILL" never see such a car on Aussie soil!

                            Enjoy

I've seen smaller turbos on a Mack truck! that's big enough to endanger small animals a kids if they happen to get pulled towards the intake.
