Funny thing is i was looking at your car on carsales when i was out to buy a golf because i wanted silver but went with this one as at the time it was alot less and had a few items like leather seats and peloquin diff that convinced me to put up with red so ive been watching your car to get ideas as it looks like you have taken the same path im heading down

Not too much goings on as im still waiting on a few bits but thought id share in the fun ive been having over the last few days...........

Been having a little bit of rain up this way of recent times ( my shed which unfortunatly is filled by a HR insted of the golf )and seeing that the road has turnned into a river quite a few times gets me a little worried......

Now i dont really mind the golf beeing out in the rain because it dosnt leak ..........well thats what i thought
My son and i went to cleen the inside of the golf out the other day and what do i find but a big puddle of water in the rear passenger side foot well
so long story short the inside of the car has been totaly stripped to dry out everything and to locate the leak . Now i hate trying to find leaks of any sort so wasnt untill i sat in the car when it was pooring down with rain so i could see whare it was comming in . Ive had the car for a lil while now with no leak issues in the past but what i found was the drain hose from the sun roof had come off at the sun roof (rear left side) and was dripping onto the hood linning down to the left rear door and along to the C pillar, down past the rear seat back and to the rear left foot well What im confused about is that im guessing its only just popped off as i havnt had any troubles befor but its something that shouldnt move i would think ???
Anyways the good that has come of this is that every bit of interor that i removed is getting a super cleen/detail with trim and seats all over the floor

If it would only stop rainning i might be able to put everyting back in....

yeah had that a few times
luckily at work we have psycho car vacuums that suck water and off it dried within a few hours

the sunroof drain holes often block up .. best to shoot some cleaning product down them to clean them out etc.

2 go to front (in door sills near the hinges) and 2 to the rear underneath near the tail lights

Well its still rainning heaps up this way but it did clear for a few hours so it gave me a chance to put all the inside of the car back in.............while it was all out i decided to put new pump in

I dont think i really needed the new pump but it came with the other stuff from Gavin for a good price so i might aswell seeing its a 10min job to change

Also beeing locked up in the house due to the rain i decided to play with the engine cover a bit.

I know its not really too exciting but i had a porsche turbo badge lying round and all the silver paint on the turbo 20v bit was comming off so i removed it and put the porsche badge there insted .
