  • Saw a Mk3 Rally Car Today

Was visiting Muller Muller today and found this Mk3 with cage, very serious brakes and an ABF engine.

This nutter Morris is in charge of it.

Plans are for some rallying, maybe the Dutton and Targa.

It looked pretty serious and progressing quickly.

Watch out for it in a forest near you soon

mk3's are cheaper for parts and easier to source bits for , im sure they choose the right one for rally/racing in Australia. mk3 prices are cheap now

              More pix!!!

A well sorted mk3 would make an excellent rally car, especially if they get the suspension just so

                No more pics.
I was too busy geeing him up about his car having too many doors!

He bought the car off a lady owner who loved it and wanted it to go to a good home. He told her what he was gonna do to it and she cried

He came to the Nats last year and will again this year. he has a red Mk4 GTI the rest of the time.

Yeah Mk3 is a good affordable package for a racecar. Plenty of cheap parts and cars.

looks good. like that cage too, someone knew what they were doing.

i agree the mk3 would be a good car for rally/motorsport - parts really are getting cheap for 'em and theres big variety in what will fit where - i especially like the fact you have all that extra suspension travel that you dont get in the mk1

i'll be interested to know what you get the final weight of the car down to. cheers, well done,
