  • CAMS affiliation for Club Vee Dub

Just got back from the Club Vee Dub AGMeeting and we are gonna absorb the Volkswagen Club of NSW, who are CAMS affiliated and so members of Club Vee Dub will be able to more easily get a cams licence and get out on the track.

I`m already a Club Veedub member, so its great for me. Criteria will be that you must be racing a VW, or VAG product.

Not all finalised yet, but its happening, so watch this space.

Nice; so you mean Club Vee Dub absorbing VW Club of NSW?

This would be a great opportunity for VAG-ers in this state. Cost of membership to Club Vee Dub is quite fair too aye?
    Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
    Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Yeah its a great opportunity, but they are writing in the criteria that you must be racing a VW to stop the club being over-run with people trying to rort the cams system.

this is more of a merger than a take over or perhaps even a reunification as club veedub was an off shoot of the nsw vw club we musnt get anybody offside even unintentionaly
I hope that this does go ahead as I can see benefits for the members of both clubs especially after seeing the growing appreciation of watercooled cars amongst the membership of club veedub and the breaking down of the us and them feelings proving that air and water can mix

            thats my personal opinion

the bugin is always advertised in club veedubs magazine even though the same courtesy doesnt seem to be shown to nationals by some of the bugin clubs people are free participate in the bugin
as for club vee dub hosting the bugin I reckon it will probably happen just after a ski resort opens at ayers rock

Does it have to be a VAG product at the time it was made? E.g. would a Countach be eligible?

Yes it needs to be a VW. Quite firm on that rule.

They also have strict anti tosser rules so you may have a problem
