One does not joke about the greatest track in the history of the automotive industry.

There is hope that the German Government will take it over but with regulations tightening up it may spell the end for the Green Hell in the future.

When I read about a theme park I was like WTF. The track is in the middle of nowhere, I wouldn't even do accommodation near the track let alone goto a theme park!

Knew I shouldn't have cancelled my trip in October/November, won't be able to get there until 2012 now I think...

**** me. Un-****ing-believable. Why in the hell would the German Gov't be so stupid? It seemed to me they were a bit brighter than ours.. Obviously not.

Its still a public road so I doubt there is any chance of it being closed. If one of our toll roads was failing then I dont think they could just close it.
Worst case scenario is they hike the prices but even then they have to be careful not to scare people away.

While you're most likely right, it's disgusting that they've allowed themselves to be put in this position.

I tend to agree with your POV on infrastructure... unless I had the funds to own my own!

When I did it in 2008, it was 21 Euro a lap or 75 for 4; wonder how much would people pay per lap? 30? 40? 50?
