  • Targa High Country

Targa High Country the first round of the 2010 /11 Australian Targa Championship starts next Friday the 5th of November in Mansfield Victoria with a prologue through the streets of Mansfield on Friday afternoon until 6PM kicking things off followed by stages to the north on Saturday and South on Sunday.

Marti and I will be there in the Ambulance Private R32 along with Dean and Darran in their Volkspower Mk V GTI competing in the modern category with David and Stuart in their Ambulance Private R32 in the showroom category.

Just a heads up for anyone in Victoria that Octagon have fully catered spectator packages for either the Saturday or Sunday or all weekend and all the info is on the Targa High Country Website

Would be great to see a convoy of Vic Watercooled members up in the High Country if you guys can make it.

If not make sure to follow all of the progress with daily updates including news, pictures and video on our website at Walker Motorsport along with quick updates from out on the stages on our Twitter and Facebook feeds.

Some great results for the VWs in this event!

David Watson and Stuart Lister (Black Ambulance Private VW R32) finished 3rd overall in the TMR Performance 4WD Showroom Competition, and Al and Martine Walker (Blue Ambulance Private VW R32) finished 34th overall in Modern, 4th in their category and 1st in class, beating home Dean Coutts and Darran Horrobin in their Volkspower VW Mk4 GTI.

            Further detail here.

Way to go guys! Keep the VW flag flying!
