  • Best Advanced Driving Course to test out the MK6 GTI?

With alot of people on this forum with GTI's, and alot also waiting for their new GTI's. I was thinking it abit stupid to have such a nice car, and not see what its capable of doing in a controlled environment.

So here we go! Post what Advanced Driving Courses you would recommend and which state it was in. Or if you have been to one with your GTI, tell us about your experience.

If there is enough intrest over the year, we should even try organising some sort of meet with alot of VW GTI owners to meet up at an Advanced Driving Course.

I know VW Australia offered a GTI Driving Academy when the GTI was launched in October. And I for one, unfortunately missed out due to my age. I highly doubt they will do that again with the MK6 Golf.

    Post your thoughts/opinions/advice.

    Cheers.

I'd be very interested in doing a track day / course.

This is not at all MK6 specific. So I'm going to move it to the Motorsport forum where there have been numerous previous threads about track days etc.

If someone suggests a better 'model neutral' place for this thread to be, I'll be happy to move it again, but it's not for the MK6 forum.

Would definately be interested, have been looking at some courses on the eastern creek for around $300 a day course.

Why don't you get in touch with Drive GTI?

I'm sure they'll organise a course if the numbers warrant it.

Dean mentioned at SEDF that they were thinking of doing one at Winton.
