Went up to the hillclimb for a few hours today. It was hard to watch and not compete!
Pologti was running very nicely. I will post some pics at work tomorrow. Well done Polo!

Look's tough with the steelies on Rob.
What happened to the RHF guard/bumper?
            Good circuit?

Mainland black mk1? I hope that's tyre smoke & not the usual oil smoke!

Don't think it was off the tyres, not sure. Certainly was a big puff though

The black Golf would be Golfwise and its a standard lots of klms 1.8 8 valve.
I would say the smoke is from the motor as we usually overfill them for these type of events when they are standard.
These type of motorsport events are great fun for little effort and the Vws seem to relish a good thrashing.

Hey! I finished 4th outright with your motor last year. Only got done by an EVO, a GTR N1 and the Escort. How about the Subie this year that was hammering up there? Claims he has spent $150,000/$200,000 on it! Had some power. He also owned the Ford GT40 replica. Doing it tuff, I would say!!

                      That's the "Autocraft prize-customer mobile"

Over 350kW and 650Nm+ at the wheels!! It would want to be winning anything and everything for that crazy money

How insane could you get a Golf going for $200,000? Get a new R32, then spend $130,000 on it? No Subaru is worth that much!

Although not an r32 that swedish guy with the Mk4, that has the Audi engine in it is 4wheel drive with like 600KW. He spent about $250000, that car is insane, ive got a full article on it somewhere in a zoom mag.

the HPA R32 is 500hp twin turbo... that wouldnt cost $100,000 to do maybe about $10g's, and that would be quicker than that WRX
