Good to see your going to compete Rob. One night after work you and I are going to walk that course so I can point out a couple of tricky spots. One in particular can catch out front wheel drives big time. I warned britchie andd he didn't listen to me and promptly spun the first time up! He was lucky not to hit anything as a few others did. I finished 4th there last year behind an EVO, a modified Escort and GTR nissan. 3 minutes out of the heart of the city too, its a great venue, great views if you don't join them!! Its bumpy though. I hope that the forum members can get along to support Rob on the day. It really is good spectating too I would think. I haven't spectated there before but this year I spose I will be......

Rob ! you won't need new tyres for the hill climb, just old ones ,remember new tyres have tread which is the enemy of track work unless its p*ing with rain.

The wheels don't stay on the ground all that well up there. They jump from tree root to same.

For forced induction you have to multiply the capacity by 1.7, so should be 3060cc not 3600cc. Regardless, I doubt this would influence the engine capacity/induction type class that you are in

The Domain Hill Climb is well suited to the smaller Polo/Golf entrants! It is very tight, narrow and gives very little opportunity for the likes of GTRs and GT3s to open up

                  Good luck...you should enjoy it

I won't be going in this year as a competitor, last year I ran in the Imp, and along with Andrew had a great time.

Be a good learning experience for you Rob!

They run a hillclimb up there?
That's a new innovation since I left town
                        I like it.

This will be the 4th year running I think. It goes from below the watertanks up to the adventure playground. They also run hilldlimbs on the old road up to Collinsvale as well. Great coures but bumpy with tree roots under the bitumen. Fantastic fun!
If you lived down here, do I know you? Did you have VWs?
Will have to get some pics of pologti next sunday
