I'm really after the engine, trans and electrical info specifically.

Seems hard to find. amazon, Bently's etc had nothing....

bentley dont have one because bentley are american and in the states theres no golf mk5 diesels! i've also looked around but cant find anything. you're only chance at this stage would be to buy the genuine vw manuals (i think they come in pieces ie each piece is 40$ or something, ends up very expensive). i'm just gonna wait till its outta warranty and hope that theres a descent manual around then

I'm just a hands on guy, and always like to be "aware" of my toys.
I've never not had a manual, and as this is my first diesel ( and "modern" turbo) I am keen to get one.

I'll enquire at VW when I return for the 1500k checkup. I only really need the engine and electrical, so may not be overly expensive.

industrial printers are your friend jks yep of course if you can find it in a book thatd obviously be much better

OK, the hunt continues as the VW service guy told me that they aren't available. Is erwin the only option???

send me the digital copy and print it out for you, i've got a 200000 page per month printer so a few thousand pages is no problem....
