Does anyone know if the "VW Golf and Vento Service and Repair Manual: Petrol and Diesel 1992 to 1998" by Haynes is suitable/applicable for a 1997 Golf - Australian spec with an AGG engine? Or is there an Australian version? I imagine most of the content would probably be relevant...
Also, just a 'heads up' that most Haynes manuals can be bought for around $30 or less (hardback, including delivery to Australia!) via The Book Depository in the UK. Better than the $60 or so buying a new one in Australia!
