I was always a bit apprehensive when I went for the beige interior, which of course included the beige carpet and mats. The mats are awful to keep clean despite the best intentions. Last week when Spice was in for her 15000 service I saw a gold Passat with beige leather and trim, but the carpet and mats were black. It did look surprisingly nice. So there ...... maybe you can choose a different colour carpet to seats & trim. It's the way I think I'd go next time.

Agree i have ordered the beige leather too. I had to have the beige but i know going to be pain to keep clean. I have seen numerous beige leather cars with black mats and it doesn't look out of place at all. So that was my compromise

Photo of my jetta with black mats. Got them for $220 the day i picked up the car. Couldnt be happier with the way it looks and the huge advantage of not showing the marks.
