Glass water repeller

Can anyone recommended a product that can be applied to windows that helps repel water?

Use it all the time to race, only issue is it is excellent when first applied and beads the water away when moving BUT wears off quickly if you use the wipers (!)

Not an issue for racing, not an issue on my motor bike... but on the road

It does still help, but you need to re-apply, which is tedious

you can reinforce the Rain-X with Rain-X windshield washer additive, so you rain-x each time you wash and wipe

I personally use enduroshield on my car fortified with rain-x washer additive.

Rain-X is ****, i am sorry but truly its terrible as its so outdated now.

Try a true glass sealant (nanotechnology based) such as Gyeon View, Nanolex Urban/Ultra Sealants from CCP. These will last 6-12+ months unlike a month from RainX.

rain-X needs to be applied carefully or it smears. It doesn't last long either.

I'll be moving on when my current bottle of Rain-X is finished.

OTOH, if you simply want to try a water repeller / beader, it's a cheap first step.

To avoid starting a new thread.
I have found that my BOSCH Aerowipers (less than a year old) now stutter when going across the windscreen. They used to glide effortlessly. Would the repellant also help with this issue?
I think I will try Rain-X and see if it's good enough for me, otherwise I might go for the better stuff.

I doubt Rain-x will help as a lubricant. You probably have contaminant build-up on your windscreen & wiper blades.

Clean the windscreen with Ajax or Bon Ami or toothpaste - start damp, buff in, allow to dry & remove with a dry cloth or scrunched up newspaper.

Clean the wiper blades with mild detergent solution and finsih off with methylated spirits or isopropyl alcohol and a microfibre cloth.

If you tend to get a lot of fallout or tree rubbish on the windscreen it might be that the blades need replacing.
