  • Best Place to Buy OEM Parts?

I got a bit keen backing out of the garage the other day and managed to hit the passenger side mirror and break a few pieces

I'm wondering whether the "stealership" is the best place to get these bits or somewhere else (maybe someone knows a good website)
    .
The vehicle is a MY10 Golf R and the Parts I am after are:

    Mirror Cap 5K0857537041 (or 5K0857537GRU)
    Turn Signal 5K0949101
    Mirror 5K0857521B
    Trim 6R0857601A9B9

Any help would be marvellous thanks Guys

    Regards
    Brenton

Get prices from the dealership, then compare with what's on eBay.

Or you could look at taking the opportunity of upgrading to auto-folding mirrors....

Or you could spend a few minutes on the phone to a wrecker Probably cheapest option

ECS is pretty well priced for OEM stuff, but there is always that shipping. Just plug the part numbers in there and take a look though

The problem with ECS is that the parts are for LHD so the mirror has a different focus....object may not be closer etc

It will be rhd if you put in the part number, but obvouisly being rhd chances of them having them in stock are pretty low. For bits that aren't rhd/lhd specific though buying from the US is generally the cheapest. Heaps of good online stores over there

Thankyou for the responses. I did look at ECS but that "shipping" kills it. I have already priced the parts up with VW, just want to be sure i'm not paying way too much for the parts. Plus they said they can not get the black cap that the R's have, even though I gave them the part number (For the Schwarz black one). They said they only sell unpainted ones.

Can anybody recommend a good VW wrecker in the Brisbane area?

I will have a google and see what I find anyway.

                Thanks All!
