  • paint over plastidip

If i were to lay down a base coat of white plastidip, then paint over with another colour using regular/automotive spray paint, would the end result still be as easily removed as plastidip alone?

Looking to add some decals in a certain theme but the colours are not availble in plastidip and im not game to try the "mix your own"...

    any input is appreciated...

    cheers,
    Ben

(and if no one has any ideas, i may just try it on something flat and metal like that's not my car... and don't want to try this straight up in case i spend money on regular paint and it doesn't work)

Try it on something first - could be a reaction

I'd be concerned with adhesion of the paint to the plasti-dip, as well as leakage, through the plasti-dip and/or staining.

TBH, I'd just look at doing something with vynal/wraps/

Seen it done to a set of wheels on youtube and on another forum before.
Type it in youtube and there should be a few videos.
