  • Wet Sand Accident

Was trying to do a chip repair, long story short I've gone too deep with the wet sand and the base coat is now missing. The size of a 5c coin on the passenger door.

What would you guys recommend? Would a touch up store be able to patch it up with a close to factory colour match? or would I need to get the whole panel resprayed?

Recommendations around Sydney would be great. Thanks in advanced.

    yikes,

I cant help you with the DIY side of things but if you need to get it done by a shop I would suggest - Vehicle Color Design Centre

Axel can match paint and also account for age and fading, so you may be able to get away with a touch up and not the whole panel

Thanks just sent them an email. Have you been in a similar situation and know how much they'll roughly cost ?

You will be able to find someone to do a little "piss in" spot repair on it quite cheap (even a few mobile repair vans), but for best, longer lasting results I'd be opting for a whole panel spray

Thanks for the advice guys - I'll be taking this to the panel beaters.
