    Hey All,

A quick plug for Mr. Detail. 73 Poath Road Murrumbeena Victoria 03 9568 3337

Took the new Alltrack to Nik 10 days after taking delivery. After reading a few posts of praise recommending him on this forum and was still very impressed! Nik takes his work very seriously and is committed to each job as it was his own car. He wasn't entirely happy with the way it came up on his first attempt on one panel due to the VW dealer's poor efforts pre delivery so he asked to keep it overnight and keep working at it. Picked it up this morning and wow, better than when I drove it out of the showroom! Nanolex sealant on the paint and Nanolex rim sealant on the wheels. Highly recommend!

FYI - He's running a special for the month of May 2013 for sealant and wheels so give him a call if you're interested. The photos below don't do it justice but for those of you in the know, will know what I'm talking about. He also has a loan car facility if required.

Hi AllBlack. I just wanted to say thanks for posting this information. Until I saw it I was going to go with the dealer's paint, glass, wheel and leather protection for my new Alltrack (picking up next week). Now I've booked in with Mr Detail to get the Nanolex protection. It's going to cost about a third of the dealer's price and will most likely be a much better job with a much better product.

What kind of price did you pay?

The quote he gave me was $400 for paint and wheel protection. He is running a special for the month of May. Normally it would be $495 for paint plus $132 for wheels. Additionally $150 for interior protection and $150 for glass protection so $700 all up.

This compares with the dealer's product where they quoted around $2500 for paint, wheels, glass and leather protection plus window tinting. If you assume third party window tinting costs around $300 (I'm yet to get a quote for that) then I'm saving around $1500 and hopfully getting a much better result.

how long did he need the car for? I was going to do my wifes' Alltrack myself, but might get a better result to get a pro to do it...

I dropped it off at 7.30am and picked it up again at 7pm that night.
