  • Cleaning my new 2013 Volkswagen CC

    Hi All,

I recently received my new CC and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on cleaning products and methods for both the exterior and interior of the car.

I've gone for the candy white exterior and two tone desert beige/black leather interior so no doubt I will have my cleaning work cut out for me.

For the interior I'm looking for any recommended fragrance free products in the bid to keep the new car leather car smell in tact (if there is such a thing).

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Car Care Products have a washing kit with what you need for the exterior:

Car Care Products / Car Care Products / Detailing Kits / All Categories / Enthusiasts Wash Essentials Kit

It's a good kit to get you started.

For the interior, this should keep it looking like new:

Car Care Products / Lexol / Interior / Leather & Vinyl / Leather Care Kit

Check with CCP on the fragrance, can't remember for the life of me how it smells.

I use Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax, I swear by this stuff even though its not cheap.

I'd also recommend Car Care Products, and in particular their 22ple VX1 Pro sealant, awesome stuff.

Shoot Pierre or Mike an email at Car Care products and they will help you put together a good package tailored to your needs.

It's all good to listen to what other people use or suggest but care detailing is much more of a personal thing these days and a lot of products are better suited to particular coloured cars.

I've just fallen in love with the Dodo Juice products!

Used to use Meguires NXT Gen until I read a thread showing that it had one of the highest alkaline ratings out of the top range stuff. THe closest to PH Neutral? Dodo Juice Born to be Mild. They make a bunch of awesome coloured waxes and stuff too.

Most important thing, invest in a good bucket with grit filter and a good yeti fist.
