Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Duragloss leather conditioner

    All,

I did a bit of research and I am a bit of a detailing enthusiast but first time had leather and needed to maintain it.

On the weekend I had a go at cleaning my already good condition leather seats... my question is this: applying duragloss conditioner is it necessasry to wipe or buff the conditioner off the seats? I found it would dry in less than a minute and after I buffed it off felt like I was just wiping away nothing.

Duragloss promotes the fact it is non glossy or greasy and gives the natural look so I was thinking next time should I just leave it to sit. At the moment the seats still feel abit dry so I wonder i've just wiped on wiped off with no effect.

    Hey mate,

Definitely is supposed to just soak in and disappear. You will be left with soft & supple seats.

    You've done everything right!
