Hi all,
I just picked up an 04/11 6R polo whose roof would make a golf ball look flat
. It has quite a lot of hail damage on it (well I think its a lot anyway) and while I am going to get a dint removalist to have a look and see what he thinks but I suspect it will be a lost cause for him, or at least an expensive one.
Are there any other options available?
One thing I was thinking of investigating, while I know its probably not the 'proper' way to fix it but will do while i save up to have the roof re-skinned, is getting the roof puttied up so its flat and getting a wrap put over it, something like a black or even a carbon fibre pattern (car is Pepper Grey). I saw one that has a black wrap on it recently (car was red) and it actually looked pretty good.
Is that an option i could consider to reduce its adverse visual appearance without breaking the bank, or is it not feasible and just down right dodgy?
I intend to keep the car mind you, its not to hide anything.
TIA. Apologies for the naive question, but painting and such like is not my strong suit.
