Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Just scratched my Vicenza alloys the lip part the machined polish part. Do you guys have any products that can fix this? Or do you guys do alloy repair? It's not that big but I can't sleep thinking about the damage on my wheels ( and yes I am that kinda guy!)

cru22z, dont worry i am the same way! painful! I am having trouble sleeping considering if i am putting a different tyre than i normally use on right now!

Shoot me a pic to info@carcareproducts.com.au so i can see how bad, but the likelihood of repair is quite high by the sounds of things.

      cru22z,
I agree that by the sound of it that repair is necessary. As you're in Sydney this thread and the link to another thread that's in it may be of interest, and possibly some help to you.

        My Question:

I bought a DAS6+ Kit a while ago, just wondering: Do you recommend to prime the pads before use or really just those 2-3 drops of polish as shown in your video?

          Gecko,

Definitely not. No water, no priming. 4-5 dabs of polish to start with then 3/4 there after is all you need.

          Cheers
