NSW: Cost to paint whole car?

Anyone here knows the cost to re-paint a car?

It's a GOLF GTI MkV.

And any recommendations in Sydney?

Not quite in the same scale but some years ago I had a Touareg stripped down and repainted prior to delivery. They did the entire exterior of the car including door trims etc but not the engine bay or areas under the interior carpet including the boot sub-floor.

Total cost was about $7500.

Edit: Just noticed your second question - the Touareg was resprayed in Canberra but I've used Currans in Sydney for some paint work on another VAG car, and would highly recommend them.

cost to respray the car should be around 10 grand...

Might be easier to look into a vinyl wrap as you can get the colour change/cover up and issues for a lot less and prep work isn't nearly as hard/time consuming.

cool. i am looking to colour code the GTI bumpers and side skirts, and noticed some deep stone chips on the front bonnet, hence the question.

maybe i'll just colour code the car.
