Removal of sun screen????

Any helpful advice would be welcome regarding removal of sunscreen from my cars exterior?

Kids have put there hands on the car and after washing, they come back!!

Any suggestions please?

I'm interested in this as well as I have the same problem, no just on the paint but also the cloth seats & trim and the plastic internal trim.

I've never had to remove sunscreen from paint but I think I'd try some All Purpose Cleaner to start with, your local Supercheap or whatever parts place will have some, I use Meguiars.

If that didn't work out I'd try some Isopropoyl alcohol, it's just 100% alcohol (but don't try to drink it). I wouldn't try Isopropyl on plastic trim or fabric. You'll probably have to go to a chemist to get Isopropyl, you only need a small bottle. I adopted a bottle when our OHS guy decided it was too dangerous for keeping in a computer room at work, it was excellent for cleaning 9 track tape heads back in the day. I use it for rego sticker removal. I'd be surprised if Isopropyl didn't do the trick.

Remember to reapply sealant or wax afterwards.

Thanks for the Info, I'll give that a crack and let you know how I go.

I've used the usual shampoo, multi purpose cleaners et all and nothing has shifted them at all so far..........

Mild dilution of APC (all purpose cleaner) and lightly remove the sunscreen. Can use this on the leather, trim etc.

Works 100%.

Madworm has covered it well for you. But as mentioned, ISO or APC will remove sealant/wax so remember to re-apply.

I read about a VW owner with this problem in today's Herald Sun (Cars Guide) - I don't suppose the question was asked by someone here? In any case it was good to learn about this potential danger.

Seeing as your in Manly, check out today's Courier Mail (Same group as Herald Sun) and in the Cars Guide it has the same question from a Vw. Apparently its the new Titanium magical sun reflecting particles which cause the problem.
