  • Nicks & dings : Panel work needed

    Hey fellas,
I've got some bumper nicks, a couple of small dings and a few scratched I've been ignoring for a while now, and I've decided it's about time that they get seen to by someone who knows what they are doing.
I've given some a try myself but in one instance I only made it worse!
Any one know of a good panel place in Melbourne's East?

Also, I was thinking of getting the roof rails removed, the holes filled and a wing made up (or at least get a quote to mull it over a bit more),
has anyone had any experience in getting custom body styling?
It's hard to know where to start on that one, there's nothing I've seen that I like for Octy wagons.
I'd love it to be slightly functional as well.... not just stuck on to look super tough!

    Maybe something like this (hahaha):

I know of a good, professional shop in Burwood, but if you look around and go visit a few local panel beaters you'll probably find a few that you like the look of.

I've always been curious about a wing, but haven't seen one that I like yet .. although I think I'd need one that lifts the rear end up instead, to try and get those front wheels to stick, hehe

I can't help you with the VIC panel shop living in Sydney but re the roof rails have you thought of either a re-spray or carbon fibre/gloss black wrap? I think they look ok on the car but the silver colour of them is just wrong. I'm speaking purely aesthetics and I don't intend on using them for carrying anything. On the other hand it might look quite cool without them too-photoshop anyone?

Depending on how bad they are you could try these guys. I have always had great results with them with minor jobs includling scuffs on alloys wheels.

Hey Bluefrog, what's the name of the panel joint in Burwood? I'm keen to give em a go mate.

The wing still eludes me....I might give Evolve a call and ask them where they got their CF custom aero parts made up, I can see that being uber expensive though.

just so you know I've only ever used them for installing my front splitter, no panel work (yet, touch wood) .. just google Lacey Panels Burwood.
