As the guys have said it does depend on the type of pads you are running. The only way to decrease brake dust is to run ceramic brakes - only a $20K mod I think!
The truth however is that brake dust will jump onto your wheels as soon as you start to use the brakes after washing, the amount depends on the pads. While there is no 'miracle' product that will stop brake dust appearing you can put a high tech sealant on your rims to lessen the build up but mostly to stop the brake dust 'biting' into the rims and make it much easier to clean off. (pressure washer and snow foam is sometimes enough, without having to get wheel cleaners and brushes)
I use the pressure washer at the car wash I use meguires polishing wax
If you're putting on the stuff I'm thinking of out of the maroon bottle, after a few stabs on the brakes to build up heat, I think you will find that most of this wax will have dissapeared though melting. The megs range of waxes isn't all that hardy in the first place and to put it in an environment that can see temps around 600 degrees with a big, hard stop, they would just vapourise.
