Hose Vs High Pressure Hose need help!

So like many Dub owners i look after my car regularly, i wash the car weekly with warm water to assist removing contaminants from the surface washing, detailing etc.


My one issue is always washing down my car/rinsing the suds off so i thought it be best to ask here whether its time i bought a high pressure hose?

Been thinking of Gerni, Karcher and Lavawash units...problem with karcher is the lower end models have plastic internals which i heard break easily.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Or should i stay true to the good ole green hose?

Realistically, high pressure is only really better than a hose at 2 things.

1) water consumption

2) removing stubbon sticky-on things and contiminants at the first rinse stage.

If you're not too fussed on either of these, then just stick to the hose. I like the high pressure better due to being able to remove more contaminants at the first rinse and being white, I can see where I have and haven't been with the squirter

I have a "lower end" karcher and haven't had a problem in 12 months, girlfriend's dad also has a "low end" karcher that he has had for 8 years and no problem. If you abuse the crap out of anything it will fail, no matter what it's made of

What model do you suggest i take a look at? i really like the idea of the pressure hose so i can clean under the wheel arches, under the car (recently purchased a car hoist...anal i know).

The problem is that is about the snowfoam lance...not about a pressure cleaner...

I have a Karcher as well. Not sure which model. But it is the one 2 or 3 models up from the base model. Quite happy with it. It isn't the strongest, but if you want a pressure washer with seriously good pressure you might have to get fuel operated one. Otherwise can't complain also very handy around the house etc!

I paid about $250 for mine when it was on special offer @ SCA, what I think is actually the normal price at bunnings (can't confirm that 100%)
