Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Paint protection and car detailing in adelaide

Getting bored in my spare time waiting for the car to arrive. I've decided that while the car is new and the paint still shiny I would want to get some sort of paint protection done on it.

Had a browse of the body work and trim section but couldn't really find anything for south australia.

Did a quick google and found only a couple of places that seemed well established and was wondering if any of the people here have had prior experience with these products or the services.

GT Paint Protection with their "glassplexin" product.
D and S Auto with OptiCoat

Any other car detailers to recommend? Please help a noob, haha new to South Australia so don't really know the car scene here very well.

    Cheers fellas.

Moved this to the Bodywork and Trim detailing forum for you, as that's where it's meant to be. Cheers

regular washing and a good go with a wax sealant will keep it looking tip top
even back in the uk i have always been dubious about how good these so called protection applications are. just invest in some good cleaning and care products. dont use the happy wash etc etc
