Most of these pics are already in my thread in the mk3 section, but I thought maybe id make a thread dedicated to the detailing I do to the little car, where I could go into a but more depth and share my experience/get some feedback and maybe get some ideas.
Ever since I got my car ive been obsessed with keeping it clean, washing it atleast weekly, vacuuming it out weekly, using all sorts of cheap filler polishes occasionally and yeah. Then i started to do some research into detailing and realised my paint was actually looking horrible (id never noticed the swirls until i found out what swirls were... but they would bug me like nothing else). So i used Autoglym Super Resin polish to hide them for about half a year until I could afford some real gear...
This brings us to now. For my 18th birthday the parents bought me my carcareproducts wishlist

So, I washed the car with Dodo Juice Supernatural (which was weird to use for the first time, as it doesnt foam up and all) then went over it with the Dodo Juice clay. Not a lot came off as id clayed it when i first used super resin polish which was probably only 6 months ago, and I always keep the car super clean. The clay however felt much nicer to use then the Mint clay I used last time and the dodo lube didnt seem to leave as much of a sticky mess as the mint one did either.
Washed the car again, then dried, and it was time to start playing with my new toy, a Mint DAS-6 polisher
The car had many flaws in the paint, a lot of swirls over the entire thing, some slightly deep scratches, and some sort of scuff marks from when a car infront of me flicked up a cardboad for sale sign which had marked the paint. I didnt expect those marks to come out, but they did and i was incredibly happy.
Some before photos (taking photos of paint flaws is so much harder then one would think...):

I first started polishing with Menzerna Power Finish 203s on an orange pad, and went over most of the car 2 times with this which got rid of the majority of the marks

Then went over it with Menzerna Final Finish 85rd on a black finishing pad to give it an amazing shine
Then came lime prime lite, followed by 2 layers of Dodo Juice Blue Velvet wax, and then 2 layers of Dodo Juice Purple Haze wax. Didnt take any photos between these stages as its hard to see the difference in photos, but it all adds to the depth/shine.
