Few thing I can maybe think of. 1) paint panel were warm, 2) application pad is dirty? 3) used too much of it? 4) left on for too long? (like more than 15mins)? 5) applied under the sun? 6) used cleaner to clean the paint before apply the sealant? 7) fabric used to buff?
None of the above really, when i used it for the first time everything from the initial wash to the final buff was done undercover, brand new applicator pads and M/fibre cloths used, clayed then used paint cleaner prior to application, has me beat.

haha I am in the opposite situation. I am not sure if I used enough and left it on for long enough before buff it off. Maybe try to buff off in a semi circle wipping motion then change to a new section of the cloth? I also got a spray sealant, but will try that after the Paint Sealant has been applied.
Looks like it is going to rain this week. I will see how the bonnet section is going and keep you updated.
Just a quick update. Finally got to apply first full Nanolex Paint Sealant coat on my Tiguan. I use few drops onto application pad, rub onto the car in circular motion to cover the area I intended to apply. Within 5mins I wipe the grey filmsy bit off with the microfiber cloth and constantly using different section to fully buff it off. Would you believe it finally rain in Perth!! (It usually does as soon as I wash my car) From what I saw with the rain drops were impressive because it beads and then simply ran off leaving the car spotless. After bit of driving the car was fully dry (as the rain drops all slide off the panels). Nice product, now I have to see how long it would last.
PS: I did end up using a bit more Paint Sealant onto the horizontal panels of the car. It was also relatively easy to buff off.
Just finished a full detail on the Tiguan, wash, clay, sealant and wax plus interior leather protection. Came up a treat. I must say i found the spray on Nonolex sealant a lot easier to apply.

I didn't even know there was another type of nanolex :|
The spray is quite easy to use and has done well to keep mine bright aned shiney after almost a year. (application every 3-4 months)
I think Nanolex Paint Sealant lasts a bit longer than the spray. I applied last weekend and after shower and so on, it still look pretty good. The best part is after applied the Sealant, it made car wash much easier to have the same shine. Try it out.
