I do always try to "hoist myself" into and out of the car to avoid damaging the highly shaped parts of the lower part of the back of the driver's seat, but the stitches have worn on the two seams , and I want to get it fixed by a professional before the seam rips apart.......
The car is out of warranty.
My question concerns the location of the air bag, which looks to me to be well away and up in the top say 25 cm of the outside corner of the seat back.
It would be great to hear if anyone has had the stitching redone in this area, or if it is "verboten" because of proximity to air bag or other problem? If this is the case, our options to fix this would seem limited indeed!!!
