    I used the following:

Wash: Meg Gold Class - washed at the manual car wash using a bucket & mitt. Need the pressure gun to lift the dirt for me. Do it at night so there are no one to complain at you!

    Dry: Syn chamois

Clay: Mothers Clay Kit (used 1x 80g bar - split into 1/3) - was really black from the roof top and boot top. Due to daily parking spot under the tree and rain at work! I really hate tree sap and bird poo!

Glaze: Meg Deep Crystal Polish - left to dry 10min then wiped off

Wax: Meg Gold Class Wax - left to dry 10min then wiped off.

Hope to do it again 3/4mths ahead
Wife was impressed with the shine
I would recommend you definitely change from the synthetic chamois to a microfibre waffle weave drying towel. As the chamois collects any dirt particles and drags it along the surface of the paint and unfortunately synthetics actually do this more than a natural leather chamois.

Regarding the wax/glaze. Great result but remember they are very short lived unfortunately and you wlil have to redo again. If you wash weekly or fortnightly probably 4-5 washes and the product will be washed off unfortunately. Good product, short lived unfortunately!

Impressive work and effort! I have yet to finish mine even split it, but i am probably to fastidious!

Thanks for the advice! The chamois is about a few mths old now anyway (already showing it's age), so will heed your advice and throw it away.

I normally use Meg Quick Detailer after my weekly washes. Would that help?

I got a waffle weaved microfiber towel. It good for drying but when it gets wet after drying half the car its very hard to drain it. I use Aion Plas Senu aion plas senu - Google Search

I think its just called Aion Chamois Synthetic here. Saw it in Repco.

Just a quick question- picking up my brand new black Multivan in the next couple of weeks and will be sealing it with nanolex paint sealant straight away- should I clay first (thinking of using dodo juice)?

Dodo Juice Clay, Mint Clay, or Claymagic Blue Clay Bar.. either of the 3.

Got my products from car care products- fantastic service by the way! My new van has now been washed, clayed (amazing how much contaminants it removed!), then paint sealed with nanolex... Big job- these multivans are huge!!

I just clayed, polished and waxed my old car (a 20yo Honda) for the 1st time ever this weekend. I don't know why I never did it earlier it was nowhere near as hard as I thought.

It look a long while, but the paintwork looks so much more glossy and smooth to touch as well, never know it might give me a couple more $ come selling time
