Just a basic Karcher or Gerni would be fine, if you are just washing once a week or fortnight then something around $100-150 should suit.

with regards to the Wax and Sealing, do I wax and then use a synthetic sealant, or is it one or the other? Thanks I am getting a new VW and I want to keep it looking good for as long as possible.

It wont extend the life by having a wax over your sealant.

If you did want to layer it (which isnt necessary mind you) you would use a synthetic sealant followed by a wax.
