Like the video you can use an acidic wheel cleaner, I would try not to get it on your plastic trim though or it will probably stain! Or you could use a All-Purpose-Cleaner like Mint APC it is safer and cheaper. I would also not ram a wheel brush up your exhaust, you only see the first 50mm, so just use an old cloth to clean the outside first and then the inside.
However if you really want them to shine you need a metal polish, something like Purple Metal Polish is great or if they are really tarnished or starting to pit then Autosol Paste has got some bite. Use both with a soft cloth
We use the above combination on a variety of exhausts including Gti's
I use an old microfiber cloth with some APC frist. Then use autosol paste to get the metal to a nice shine then Purple polish to get it really blinging. If the tips are epically bad then i use 0000 Steel wool with the autosol to polish them first.
